Hotel Policies
Deposit
For stays of any length, no deposits will be taken (1 night deposit) will be taken at the time of booking (excludes non-refundable rates). Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit.
Non-refundable rates - For stays of any length, a full deposit (100%) of the total charges is due at the time of booking. Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit.
Cancellation
For any reservations cancelled more than 48 hours prior to confirmed arrival, no penalty will apply for stays arriving on or before May 31, 2026, excluding bookings made on a non-refundable rate. For reservations with an arrival date of June 1, 2026 and onward, cancellations must be made more than 72 hours prior to confirmed arrival to avoid penalty, (excluding bookings made on a non-refundable rate).
For stays arriving on or before May 31, 2026, cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will incur a charge of one night's room and tax, regardless of the reason. For stays arriving on or after June 1, 2026, cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will incur a charge of one night's room and tax, regardless of the reason. Guests are welcome to send a friend or family member in their place.
Any request to change dates, including shortening a reservation, must be made at least 72 hours prior to confirmed arrival and remains subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions. Within 72 hours prior to arrival, deposits are non-refundable and no changes may be made to the reservation. After check-in, shortened stays remain charged in full based on the original reservation.
A "No-show" fee is applied to non-cancelled reservations. A refund will be provided to the method of payment on file for the reservation, less a 1 night fee of room & tax.
For group room blocks of four rooms or more, please refer to the group contract for the applicable cancellation policy.
Rates
Rates as shown or quoted over the phone are based on per night double occupancy and are subject to the applicable state and/or local lodging tax. Availability and rates for specific dates can be viewed by clicking on the “Book Now” button.
Check-in / Check-out Times
- Check-in is available as of 4:00 PM. Early check-in requests may be accommodated based on availability and are not guaranteed.
- Checkout time is 11:00am. Late check-out requests will be accommodated based on availability. We are happy to store your luggage, and guests are welcome to enjoy our common areas and grounds.
- Check-in Minimum Age: Guests must be 21 years of age or older to check in at Laurel Lake Placid.
Additional Persons
All room rates are based on single (SGL) or double (DBL) occupancy, depending on the room type booked. Maximum occupancy varies by room category.
Additional guests beyond double occupancy may be accommodated based on room type and availability and will incur an additional fee of $15 per person, per night, regardless of room type. Children and infants are included in the total guest count.

Pets & Service Animals
We are happy to allow up to two 70-lb (or less) canine companions in our pet-friendly rooms (pet friendly rooms will be noted as part of the booking process). Pet fees include a $50 per dog, per night rate increase. Please call the property directly to inquire about booking a pet-friendly room.
Dog policies:
- Dogs are the only pets allowed, and they must never be left in a guest room alone.
- While we love our pets, not all of our guests feel the same way. For this reason, dogs are permitted only in the exterior common areas, and they must stay on leash. Dogs are never permitted in interior public spaces.
- As a condition of reserving a room at our hotel, you agree to pay a $250.00 fee if any pets are found in rooms not designated as dog-friendly or if your animal causes stains or damage to a pet-friendly guest room.
Housekeeping
Laurel Lake Placid offers our guests a daily light touch housekeeping service of their room. Full-service housekeeping of your room is always available upon request.
Alcohol Policy
Whether or not we sell alcohol on the premises, guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcohol. As our common spaces are used by all guests, we ask everyone to drink responsibly and be considerate of others around them.
Non-Smoking
Laurel Lake Placid are 100% smoke, vape, and flame-free. A $250 cleaning surcharge will be imposed on any room where guests have burned candles, smoked (including e-cigarettes), or vaped in their room or anywhere on property.
Firearm Policy
At our hotels, we prioritize the safety and comfort of our guests and staff. To ensure everyone's well-being, we have a policy regarding firearms on our premises. We understand that guests may have valid reasons for possessing firearms, so our policy aims to balance safety and respect for legal rights. For the safety of all, we do not permit the open carry of firearms on our property, regardless of local laws.
While we respect the rights of guests who are legally allowed to have firearms, we require them to follow specific guidelines:
- Firearms must be securely stored in a locked, hard-sided container provided by the guest while on our property.
- When not in use, firearms should be safely stored in the guest's room or vehicle.
- Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the hotel.

Guest Responsibility
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
Resort Fee
A resort fee of $15.00 per night, per room applies and includes complimentary parking, continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi.
